San Marcos

San Marcos La Laguna lies on the shores of Lake Atitlan. It is a quite town known for its spiritual retreats. This includes meditating, yoga, massage and healing classes. Rock ledges on the south point make for great cliff jumping into the water.
Most of San Marcos is accessed by foot on small paths, with the exception of one main road to deliver to the tiendas.
To arrive at San Marcos a shuttle boat from Panajachel is taken.
There are various accommodations from hostels to hotels in San Marcos.
Finding food in San Marcos is not an issue, the hotels offer food and freshly baked bread and pastries can b found along the footpaths.
San Marcos is a great place to escape the hustle of Guatemala.
