The street will be full of people whirling fireworks. Midnight it is recommended to be inside for the countdown to avoid getting burned by stray fireworks. The bars are a great place to be, some will charge an entrance fee, around 20 Quetzales.
To purchase fireworks small stands will be setup along the roads. The main stands are located across from the municipal/ police station.
Bring your earplugs this is a great time of year to be in Panajachel, but a noisy one. Spectacular fireworks, great music, dancing, wonderful weather, and of course a great place to people watch. Enjoy!
